HALLOWEEN ART MASKS

Geez, it looks like I won't have time to get something really good together for Halloween this year. If I had I might have tried a painted art mask of some sort. Maybe something painterly, like the kind of thing Philip Burke does. What do you think of his Arnold Schwarzenegger (above)?

I do worry, though. What if I put all that paint on and couldn't get it off? I'd have to go through life like that. Does gouache wash off easy?

Painted masks look great on girls!

Picasso's style looks great on women (above). Even when it doesn't completely work, the attempt is always interesting.

Here's one (above) that wasn't entirely successful but it was a good effort. Geez, Picasso would have made a great fashion designer.

I wonder if Picasso-type face makeup will become the standard someday. Stranger things have happened.

This girl (above) dressed in cardboard. Haw! She should have posted another photo taken from the back, which I imagine was all duct tape!

I searched the net in vain for fashions that were derived from specific Picasso paintings. I wasn't able to find any. Lots of designers did their own version of Picasso's general style (above), but that's not what I had in mind. Ditto for the many tee shirts with reproductions of paintings on them.

That's odd. You'd think Picasso fashions would be common as water.

Wow! This kid looks great!

Fascinating! Here's a takeoff on Picasso's "Weeping Woman" from 1937. The Halloween artist deviates from the original, but that's okay.

For comparison here's (above) the original.

I did come across Picasso-type cars.
